OAKLAND, CA — The right-hand lane of southbound State Highway 13 just north of Park Boulevard in Oakland's Montclair district will likely remain closed for a while Saturday night after a solo vehicle accident in which a car plunged off the road and into a tree, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The wreck occurred just after 7 p.m. Saturday, when a car driven by a 19-year-old man veered off the right side of the road, hit a tree and flipped over, landing on its side, said CHP Officer Sean Layton.

The driver, who was wearing a seat belt, wasn't injured, but was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, Layton said.
