• CARE Court Was Created To Help California's Toughest Homeless Cases. Why That's Been So Hard (edhat.com) — Alameda County residents should know CARE Court has become a powerful fast-track to housing for some of the county’s most vulnerable mentally ill and homeless neighbors, moving 38 of 41 homeless participants into temporary or permanent housing by August. The story compares Alameda County’s relative success to other California counties, while also highlighting how fragile those gains can be when people leave placements or cycle back to the streets.
