Cessna Makes Safe Emergency Landing in Alameda at Former Naval Air Station
Fire officials said the plane wasn't damaged during the landing.
ALAMEDA, CA — A small single-propeller airplane made an emergency landing in Alameda Thursday afternoon, according to firefighters. The fire department was notified of a plane in distress around 4:45 p.m.
The Cessna 172 landed safely on a runway at the former Naval Air Station Alameda. No injuries were reported and the plane wasn't damaged, firefighters said. The East Bay Regional Parks Police Department also responded to the emergency landing.
