Dan's Fresh Produce Featured on Trade Website

Dan's Fresh Produce, 2300 Central Ave., is featured today (Tuesday) on Produce Retailer, a website for professionals in the fruit-and-veggie business.

While the article is aimed at those in the produce business, there are some nuggets for local customers.

“Dan the Produce Man” (owner Dan Avakian) says he instantly fell in love with produce when a produce stand opened across the street from his high school in the spring of 1976, according to the article.

“I loved how people were waiting outside to get in when they opened in the morning,” he says. “All that excitement … I just loved it.”
