Dozens Of East Bay Companies On Inc. List Of Best Performing Startups

Each of these companies made the list of fastest growing startups. Need a job? This is a great resource for your search.

EAST BAY, CA — Bay Area layoffs have been constant this year. If you are starting to get discouraged by your job search — here's a lifeline. Inc. magazine's 2023 Inc. 5000 list of most successful startups includes 47 right here in the East Bay. There are about 200 companies on the list in the greater Bay Area.

The companies span a dozen industries from food & beverage to IT services.

Each company was ranked by revenue growth from 2019 to 2022. To be considered, they had to have earned at least $100,000 in 2019 and grown that to at least $2 million by the end of 2022. They must also have been generating revenue by March 31, 2019.

  • Castro Valley: Blue Beyond Consulting, a business products & services company, 3-year growth rate of 105 percent
  • Concord: retailcloud, a software company, 3-year growth rate of 304 percent
  • Concord: vChief, a business products & services company, 3-year growth rate of 788 percent
  • Concord: TheraEx Rehab Services, a health services company, 3-year growth rate of 299 percent
  • Concord: Innersense Organic Beauty, a consumer products company, 3-year growth rate of 225 percent
  • Danville: Behavior Nation, a health services company, 3-year growth rate of 438 percent

The Inc. 5000 companies had combined revenues of $358.2 billion, added nearly 1.2 million jobs and grew at a median rate of 219 percent. The list featured 638 newly founded companies and 3,047 repeat honorees.
