Dramatic Clouds At The Beach: Photo Of The Day

The clouds and low tide combine to create a striking vista.

ALAMEDA, CA — Some sunset chasers are all about the orange or pink skies often evident after the sun is below the horizon, but Alameda resident Steve Gorman appreciates when the sun is low in the sky

Steve told Patch in an email, "The winter is a great time to take a sunset walk on the beach, not only because the sun sets so early, but also because the quality of light is different. There also tends to be less fog and more big puffy clouds - all making for a great sunset. Add in a low tide to create nice reflections, and you have the makings of a great photo op."

Thank you for sharing your photo, Steve.
