BAY AREA — A motorcyclist was injured in a collision with another vehicle in the eastbound lanes of the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge Wednesday afternoon, according to the CHP incident log. He was transported to Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center by the San Francisco Fire Department for treatment. No other injuries were reported.

The victim is described as a 68-year-old man. His name has not been released.

The crash happened near Treasure Island. Currently, the slow lane is blocked. Even though just one lane is blocked, traffic is stopped on the bridge with delays of at least an hour, according to the Google traffic map. Traffic is backed up deep into San Francisco in multiple directions.

There is no estimate from the CHP of when the crash will be cleared.

If you are heading to the East Bay by car, consider taking the San Mateo Bridge or delay your trip.
