UPDATE: Two Runways at SFO Have Reopened

Update: While two runways have reopened at SFO, airport officials are advising travelers to check with their airlines for specific delay information. 

A Lufthansa flight from Frankfurt that had been diverted to Oakland 30 minutes after the crash, flew to SFO shortly before 4 p.m.

Flights scheduled to land at San Francisco International Airport Saturday afternoon are being diverted to other airports in Northern California and the West Coast following the crash of a 777 from Seoul that left two people dead and 61 injured.

San Francisco-bound flights have landed at Sacramento, Oakland and San Jose, according to media reports. Neither Oakland International nor San Jose International were reporting delays at 2:30 p.m.

San Francisco International Airport is advising travellers scheduled to depart from the airport Saturday to check with their airlines for additional information.
