Free Outdoor Movie In Alameda Saturday
Alameda Landing is hosting "Raya and The Last Dragon," at sundown on Saturday. The animated movie stars Kelly Marie Tran and Awkwafina.
ALAMEDA, CA — Alameda Landing is hosting its last free Outdoor Movie Night of the summer on Saturday when it shows "Raya and The Last Dragon."
The Walt Disney Animation Studios' movie was released in March and is rated PG. According to Movies.Disney.com, "Raya" takes place in the fantasy world of Kumandra, where humans and dragons lived together in harmony long ago. But when an evil force threatened the land, the dragons sacrificed themselves to save humanity.
Now, 500 years later, that same evil has returned and it's up to a lone warrior, Raya, to track down the legendary last dragon to restore the fractured land and its divided people.

"Raya" was directed by Don Hall and Carlos López Estrada and stars Kelly Marie Tran, who voices Raya, and Awkwafina, as the magical, mythical, self-deprecating dragon named Sisu.
The movie will be shown near The Habit Burger Grill. Seating begins at 8 p.m. and the movie will start at sundown.

Alameda Landing is at 2600 5th Street. If you want to grab a bite to eat before the movie, food choices include: Koja Kitchen and Poki Salad Bar, Famous Dave's BBQ, Panda Express, Firehouse Subs, Ono Hawaiian BBQ, Chipotle, Habit Burger, In-N-Out Burger, and Shirasoni.
