Man Killed On I-580 Monday Identified
He was struck during the evening commute in the eastbound lanes of I-580, near the connector to state Highway 238.

EAST BAY — A pedestrian who died after being struck by two vehicles on Interstate Highway 580 on Monday has been identified by the Alameda County Coroner's Office as 26-year-old Miles Harbin. Harbin's place of residence was not determined.
Harbin was struck at about 6 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of I-580, near the connector to state Highway 238 after he was believed to have been involved in a collision in the westbound lanes and exited his vehicle.
Harbin was pronounced dead at the scene.

Both eastbound drivers stopped at the scene and called 911, a CHP spokesperson said.
The collision remains under investigation by the CHP.
