Nearly $500K In Cash Seized During East Bay Drug Bust: Deputies
Authorities say they also seized two rifles and several kilograms of drugs while serving warrants in East Oakland and San Leandro.

OAKLAND, CA — Deputies say they've seized nearly half a million dollars, along with drugs and weapons, while serving warrants in Alameda County.
The investigation began after the Alameda County Narcotics Task Force received numerous complaints from residents in these cities about someone selling drugs from a car in East Oakland, authorities said.
The suspect was identified as William Mustain, a convicted felon who was out on bail at the time, according to the Alameda County Sheriff's Office.

Mustain had already been arrested twice this year by the drug task force, deputies said. The task force obtained search warrants for Mustain's home and other associated properties in East Oakland and San Leandro, police said.
There, the task force discovered $474,000 in cash, several kilograms of heroin, cocaine and methamphetamine, along with six handguns and two rifles, deputies said.

Mustain has since been arrested and booked into Santa Rita Jail, deputies said. It's unclear what charges he may face.
