Not Quite To Infinity And Beyond, Alameda County Firefighters Head To Pixar To Teach Preparedness
Members of the Alameda County Fire Department met with Pixar staff at their Emeryville headquarters for a special event.

ALAMEDA, CA — Alameda County Fire Department members were at Pixar Animation Studios last week for a special National Preparedness Month event, the department announced Friday.
On Thursday, ACFD firefighters spent time at Pixar’s East Bay headquarters in Emeryville to talk with Pixar staff about flood and fire safety, provide information about earthquake drills and go over other emergency preparation details.
Pixar is the animation company behind films like "Toy Story," "Inside Out," "Finding Nemo," "WALL-E," "Up" and "Coco."

National Preparedness Month, which has been observed in September since 2004, focuses on encouraging people to be prepared for disasters and emergencies.
The Alameda County Fire Department offers emergency preparedness trainings, such as Personal Emergency Preparedness (PEP) workshops and Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training.
