Oakland Public Education Fund Receives $1 Million Unrestricted Grant from Anonymous Donor
Grant supports Ed Fund's goal to expand opportunities for Oakland public school students

The Oakland Public Education Fund (The Ed Fund) announced today that it has received a $1 million unrestricted grant from an anonymous donor with the Arthur Rock Fund at Vanguard. This transformational gift will strengthen the organization’s work supporting Oakland’s public schools, students, and educators.
Unrestricted funding of this size provides rare flexibility. It allows the Ed Fund to invest in the areas of greatest need, respond to emerging challenges, and accelerate programs that advance equity, improve school experiences, and expand opportunities for Oakland students.
“We are deeply grateful for this extraordinary show of trust in our mission,” said Alexandria Medina, CEO, The Ed Fund. “This gift will allow us to continue building programs and partnerships that make a meaningful difference for young people across Oakland.”
