OAKLAND, CA — Police on Saturday released a one-minute video showing what they say are two suspects who stole more than 1,000 historical artifacts from the Oakland Museum of California last month.

The video doesn't show any of the items being stolen. It does, however, show a pair of people in masks walking around the Oakland Museum of California's storage facility.

One of the suspects is wearing a plaid long-sleeve shirt, blue jeans, black shoes, a black beanue, and a white face mask. The other is wearing a blue hoodie, blue pants, white shoes and black gloves.

The heist happened just before 3:30 a.m. on Oct. 15, according to the Oakland Police Department. Some of the items stolen included ancient jewelry, Native American baskets, antique photos and laptops.

Oakland Museum of California Executive Director and CEO Lori Fogarty described burglary in a statement last month as "brazen." She said the museum is working with Oakland police and the FBI to find the artifacts.
