ALAMEDA, CA — A slate of safety improvements planned on Webster Street will get underway this month as part of Alameda's Commercial Streets Program.

According to city officials, restriping work will soon begin on Webster between Central and Lincoln as crews begin moving on-street parking back to the curb, creating more disabled and loading parking areas, adding bike lanes, upgrading bike racks and installing concrete barriers around parklets.

Once the work is complete on Webster, crews will complete similar upgrades on Park Street.
