Shore Birds Gather On Bay Farm Island
Black-necked Stilts appear to be in pursuit of a meal.

ALAMEDA, CA — Marcella Aguirre-Garcia took this photo of shore birds on Bay Farm Island. Google Lens identifies the birds as Black-necked Stilts. According to All About Birds, "Black-necked Stilts wade into shallow bodies of water, seldom swimming, in pursuit of tiny aquatic invertebrates."
