Suspect With Multiple Warrants Arrested By Police

Police say the man was wanted "throughout Northern California and specifically the Bay Area."

ALAMEDA COUNTY — A suspect who "has widely been sought after for numerous burglary cases throughout Northern California and specifically the Bay Area," was arrested by East Bay Regional Police Officers after a foot pursuit, according to information released to the public.

The officers were patrolling Martin Luther King Jr Regional Shoreline, on the shores of San Leandro Bay between Alameda and Oakland, because of a series of burglaries that had recently occurred.

The officers spotted a vehicle matching the description of a wanted vehicle.

They attempted a traffic stop, but the driver took off. After a brief pursuit, the driver bailed-out of his vehicle and tried to run away. Officers caught the suspect, who had several outstanding warrants, and took him into custody.

A gun was found in the suspect vehicle.
