Monday, Sept. 30

Practicar Español 

Learn conversational Spanish at Mastick Senior Center at 1155 Santa Clara Avenue, Alameda, 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. The price is $10.

City Council

At its regular meeting Alameda City Council will discuss equipping patrol cars with license plate reading technology. The meeting is at city hall and starts at 7 p.m.

Wednesday, Oct. 2

Bring your infant and toddler to the main library for a community sing-along at 10:15 a.m.

Thursday, Oct. 3

10 a.m. is Peter Rabbit storytime at the Main Library.

Saturday, Oct. 5

A Casual Walk with Views

Bike Walk Alameda is hosting a casual one-hour walk over the bridge and along the north side of Bay Farm Island. Enjoy views of San Francisco and the Bay. Meet at Fernside entrance of the Pedestrian/Bike Bridge near the Aeolian Yacht Club at 9 a.m.

Juggling, Jokes and a Good Cause

The Bay Area Circus Arts Festival is hosting a fundraiser benefitting public school art programs. Lot’s of juggling, gravity defiance, a one-woman band and more. Doors at the Kofman Theater open at 6:30 p.m., the show starts at 7:30 p.m. Buy tickets early here.

Oktoberfest

Make your reservations before Oct. 2 for the Encinal Yacht Club's 8th annual Oktoberfest. The party starts at 6 p.m. Admission, which includes dinner and entertainment, is $25 for non-members and $20 for members.
