Theft Arrests Made At South Shore, Alameda Landing

Loss prevention teams worked with Alameda Police to spot and arrest the accused criminals, according to APD.

ALAMEDA, CA — Alameda Police report recent arrests at both South Shore Shopping Center and Alameda Landing, following reports from store loss prevention teams of thefts in progress by known criminals.

At Alameda Landing, a known offender was spotted concealing merchandise. The loss prevention staff notified police. Officers arrived before the suspect left the property and arrested the person for theft and violation of a trespass order. The stolen items were recovered and returned to the store.

The following day, a similar scenario played out at South Shore, except the suspect also had an open alcoholic container, according to police. The person was arrested for theft and public intoxication, and the stolen items were returned to the store.
