Where To See Santa In Alameda This Christmas Season

You better watch out, you better not cry, you better not pout — Santa Claus is coming to town!

ALAMEDA — Alameda offers plenty of holiday cheer this weekend with the Downtown Alameda Winter Market, the 47th Annual Lighted Yacht Parade: Deck The Seas With Jolly Holly, the Alameda Holiday Fest at Temple Israel, and tons of fun at local clubs. See the Alameda Patch calendar of events for full details.

Visits and pictures with Santa are treasured traditions for many Alameda families. For them, there’s nothing quite like seeing jolly old St. Nick live and in person.

See Santa Claus in Alameda on Dec. 10 at the Alameda Landing Holiday Celebration. Selfies with Santa and The Grinch are free of charge, be sure to bring your own cell phone or camera. The event will also feature holiday elves, melodious carolers, face painting and balloon twisting. This event is free of charge and open to the public. Complete details are here.

Santa arrived Nov. 5 at Bass Pro Shop Santa’s Wonderland and will hold court through Christmas Eve. Get a free 4x6 photo with Santa. Reservations are encouraged.

Santa will also be at the sixth floor of Macy's Union Square in San Francisco through Dec. 24 from 10-1 p.m. at 2-7 p.m. on most days. Reservations are required. See here to make a reservation and for more information. Don't miss their cherished window displays!

JC Penney stores, including stores in Hayward, San Bruno, and San Francisco, are offering professional portraits with Santa through Dec. 18.
