Altadena Crime Blotter: Multiple Catalytic Converter Thefts

ALTADENA, CA — The Altadena Sheriff's Station has released the latest crime blotter for the week.

Incidents featured in the blotter occurred from Nov. 21 to Nov. 27.

Sunday, Nov. 21

11:19 a.m. – A 2014 Jeep Cherokee was reported stolen from the 3600 block of Canon Boulevard.

Between 1:00 p.m. and 12:00 p.m. (Tuesday) – A business’s window was shattered in the 700 block of E. Calaveras Street.

Between 11:00 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. – A home’s window was shattered in the 2700 block of Lake Ave.

Monday, Nov. 22

Between 3:15 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. – A car burglary occurred in the area of Lake Avenue and Loma Alta Drive. The thief shattered the car’s window and stole a Patagonia handbag, iPad, iMac and a wallet.

Tuesday, Nov. 23

8:43 a.m. – A domestic violence incident occurred in the 2200 block of N. Santa Anita Avenue. A suspect was arrested.

10:00 p.m. – A battery occurred in the 2900 block of N. El Nido Drive. The suspects were identified as teenagers.

Wednesday, Nov. 24

Between 8:00 a.m. and 10:46 a.m. (Friday) – A grand theft from a car occurred in the 100 block of E. Woodbury Road. The catalytic converter to a 2004 Honda Accord was stolen.

Between 7:00 p.m. and 8:30 a.m. (Saturday) – A grand theft from a car occurred in the 1400 block of E. Woodbury Road. The catalytic converter to a 2002 Honday Odyssey was stolen.

Thursday, Nov. 25

4:07 a.m. – A grand theft from a car occurred in the 1800 block of Coolidge Avenue. The catalytic converter to a 2005 Toyota Prius was stolen.

Between 6:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. (Friday) – A car burglary occurred in the 600 block of Figueroa Drive. An electronic gate opener was stolen.

11:59 p.m. – A domestic violence incident occurred in the 300 block of Ila Joyce Street. A suspect was arrested.

Friday, Nov. 26

7:00 a.m. – A 22-year-old Baldwin Park man was arrested in the 2800 block of Stonehill Drive on suspicion of car burglary. Police recovered stolen items from the scene.

Between 5:00 p.m. and 12:30 p.m. (Saturday) – A petty theft from a car occurred in the 700 block of Alameda Street. An iPhone, Motorola smartphone, personal documents and credit cards were stolen.

Between 6:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. (Saturday) – A grand theft from a car occurred in the 800 block of Morada Place. The catalytic converter to a 2007 Honda Accord was stolen.

Saturday, Nov. 27

6:00 a.m. – A domestic violence incident occurred in the 400 block of W. Pentagon Street. A suspect was arrested.
