One Man Killed in Pasadena Area Crash

A young man was killed today in a traffic crash in Pasadena, authorities said.

The crash was reported about 2:45 a.m. on Del Mar Boulevard near Hill Avenue, said Pasadena police Sgt. Art Chute. The man, who was in his 20s, died at the scene, according to the coroner's office. His name was withheld, pending notification of his relatives.

Del Mar Boulevard was closed between Hill and Holliston avenues while an investigation was conducted into the circumstances of the crash.
