Arcadia Announces City Council Redistricting Mapping Tool And Public Hearing Schedule

The deadline to submit draft maps for inclusion at the next public hearing is January 15, 2022.

The City of Arcadia has released the District public mapping tool for the City Council redistricting process. In that portal, you can draw both a map and a community of interest for the City. To let the City Council know about your community of interest and what brings it together or to submit your suggested City Council district map, please share your map using this tool. For more information on how to submit maps, including instructional videos, please visit the City’s redistricting page at ArcadiaCA.gov/redistricting.

The deadline to submit draft maps for inclusion at the next public hearing is January 15, 2022. Maps submitted by the deadline will be presented for discussion and consideration at a public hearing at the February 1, 2022, City Council meeting. The final public hearing is scheduled for the March 15, 2022, City Council meeting at which time the City Council will vote to adopt a new City Council district map. For the City of Arcadia, the redistricting process must be completed by April 17, 2022. Additional public hearings may be scheduled as needed prior to the deadline.
