Arcadia to Take Part in National Day of Prayer
The service begins at 7 p.m. on Thursday at the Arcadia Congregational Church.

Arcadia will observe the National Day of Prayer at 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 3. The Arcadia Interfaith Action Group will sponsor the program, which takes place at the at 2607 South Santa Anita Ave.
The theme of this year's service is “faith, freedom, and friendship.” Seven faith traditions plan to participate in the program, which will include the drum troupe from the His Lai Buddhist Temple, as well as the Barnhart School Chorus.
All Arcadia residents are encouraged to attend the service and a desert reception immediately following.

According to the National Day of Prayer Task Force, this is an annual observance held the first Thursday of May, "inviting people of all faiths to pray for the nation."
