The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health issued a new order on Friday, September 17 that requiring proof of vaccination for indoor bars, wineries, nightclubs, and lounges. The order also requires proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test for outdoor mega-events, including local sporting venues. The order requires customers and employees and at indoor nightlife establishments to have at least one dose of vaccine by October 7, and receive their second dose by November 4. The order also strongly recommends, but does not require, vaccine verification for indoor portions of restaurants. Finally, the new order requires all attendees, employees, and participants at outdoor mega-events to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a negative COVID test within 72 hours of the event. For more information about the new order, please visit publichealth.lacounty.gov
