'SNL' Writer Asks For Help Finding His Missing Sister, Last Seen In LA

LOS ANGELES, CA — Authorities are asking for assistance finding an at-risk woman whose disappearance from Los Angeles gained national attention after her brother, a "Saturday Night Live" writer, asked for the public's help finding her this week.

Christina Lynn Downer, 38, was last in contact with her loved ones on Dec. 10 when she exchanged a text message with a friend. She has not been seen or heard from since, the Los Angeles Police Department said Tuesday.

Downer's last known location was in Koreatown, police said.

Actor and "Saturday Night Live" writer Jimmy Fowlie on Monday asked for help finding his sister in a social media post.

"My sister has been missing and we are worried that she isn’t safe," he wrote.

The writer said that his sister's married name is Downer and that she may also go by Christina Fowlie.

"Please share this so that if anyone has seen her, they can give any information to the police," Fowlie wrote.

Several "SNL" cast members, including Chloe Fineman, Bowen Yang and Sarah Sherman, have shared Fowlie's post on their Instagram Stories.

Downer is described as a 5-foot-1 woman who weighs 115 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes.

Police said Downer's family is becoming increasingly concerned about her well-being because of an unspecified medical condition.
