City Council Candidate Forum Wednesday

Meet the City Council candidates Wednesday during a forum at the Arcadia library.

The and the Arcadia Chamber of Commerce will team up Wednesday to co-host a forum featuring the five candidates running for two open City Council seats.

Arcadia residents will cast their ballots by mail next month.

For the first time in the city's history, the Council election will take place by mail-in ballot only; ballots must be received by April 10.

The candidates are current Mayor Gary Kovacic, businessman and former Mayor John Wuo, retired businessman and 3-time City Council candidate , former school board member and Santa Anita Oaks Homeowners' Association President and local real estate developer Henry Nunez.

Chamber Executive Director Scott Hettrick and AAR Board of Directors member Andy Bencosme will co-moderate the forum.

Written questions will also be accepted from the audience. The moderators will attempt to include as many audience-generated questions as possible in the forum.

The forum begins at 7 p.m. in the auditorium. Seating for 175 attendees will be on a first-come, first-served basis, so please arrive early to ensure a seat.

Light refreshments will be provided.
