County Board of Supes. Approve Budget, More Spending
Supervisors reportedly approve 2012-2013 budget without major cuts, or furloughs for county employees.

New spending was approved in next year's budget by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors this week.
The $24.53 billion budget reportedly will not require county staff to take furlough days and keeps funding for most county departments intact, according a San Gabriel Valley Tribune article.
Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas said, "The county is in a unique budgetary position because of the extraordinary fiscal prudence exercised by the board over a period of decades."
