Hearing Delayed for Arcadia Man Accused of Killing Wife

A hearing in the case of an man accused of killng his wife was delayed Thursday to give the prosecution more time to turn evidence over to the defense team.

Robert Maurice Thompson, 65, is charged with murder in the death of his wife, Elaine Thompson, 59. Superior Court Judge Janice Croft set the new hearing date for Nov. 2 at the Pasadena courthouse.

Elaine Thompson died in August 2010 after being shot in the back of her head at her Mayflower Village home. Police say Robert Thompson allegedly told the 911 dispatcher that he shot his wife and she was dead.
