Middle School to Host Concert and Picnic Sunday

 

Parent-Teacher-Student Association, along with First Avenue Music Club, will sponsor a community concert and picnic Sunday from noon until 5 p.m.  The purpose of this event is to showcase some of the quality programs offered at First Avenue Middle School and raise funds to maintain those programs and others at each Arcadia school.

The award-winning Band, Orchestra, Chorus and Rock Band will be performing throughout the afternoon beginning at 1 p.m. There will also be student art projects on display. 

There’s plenty of lawn space to spread blankets and lawn chairs. Lunch (pulled pork, curry bowls, burgers and hot dogs) will be available for purchase starting at noon. There will also be some raffle items available.

This event is open to the public and entertainment is free. Proceeds from the food sales and raffle will go to the , which has partnered with the to maintain the level of educational excellence expected from Arcadia public schools.
