UPDATE: Critically Injured Driver in Motorcycle Crash Dies

Both the motorcyclist and the driver of the vehicle are dead.

An resident critically injured when his vehicle collided with a motorcycle on Baldwin Avenue has died, said Friday.

Doctors at Huntington Memorial Hospital could not save 75-year-old Richard Oster; he succumbed to his injuries several hours after the crash, which involved a motorcyle driven by Jonathan Nyerges.

Nyerges, a 29-year-old Temple City resident, died Thursday at the scene of the crash at the intersection of Baldwin Avenue and Palm Drive.

Traffic was blocked on Baldwin Avenue between Walnut and Palm Drive for two hours following the crash, which took place shortly after 12 p.m. Palm Drive at Baldwin Avenue was also closed to motorists.
