David Freré has worked as a barista at Taza A Social Coffee House since the shop opened in October.
Freré recently took a moment to show Patch how he makes latte foam art.
See the attached video of Freré demonstrating his craft.

Here are the steps to making perfect latte foam art:
- Steam cold milk* in a steam pitcher until the liquid reaches 155 degrees.
- Allow the milk to settle for a more velvety texture.
- Prepare a shot of expresso with a tiny bit of crema.
- Pour your expresso shot into the coffee mug you intend to use.
- Hold the pitcher spout about an inch above the mug's bottom and pour in the milk.
- Once the mug is filled halfway, gently shake the pitcher back and forth while slowly moving it backwards, and you'll see the the flower design take shape.
*Freré says for best results, use whole milk.
