
The City Council of the City of Baldwin Park encourages you to become involved in your community. One way to do so is to serve in an advisory capacity on one of the City’s various Commissions. The City is currently accepting applications to fill scheduled vacancies on certain City Commissions.
The following is a list of Commission offices available:
The Housing Commission has six (6) offices available.
Two offices are for Housing Authority Tenants, one must be over 62 years of age.
Meetings are held the 1st Thursday of the month.
Members in attendance receive $50 p/meeting.
The Personnel Commission has three (3) offices available.
Meetings are held on an as-needed basis.
Members in attendance receive $50 p/meeting.

The Recreation & Community Services Commission has two (2) offices available which are offered to high school students of Baldwin Park High School and North Park High School.
Meetings are held on the 1st Monday of the month.
Members in attendance receive $50 p/meeting.
Interested persons must be 18 years of age or older, a registered voter and a resident of the City of Baldwin Park.
Students interested in the Recreation & Community Services Commission must be over the age of 16 years and less than 19 years during their term of office. In addition, the principal of his/her high school must certify his/her eligibility for the appointment.

Application and Statement of Qualification forms must be filed with the City Clerk no later than 5:00 p.m., THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 23, 2012.
