Congresswoman to Offer Free Tax Preparation Services

Taxpayers earning around $50,000 a year and below may be eligible to participate in the program.

Constituents with low to moderate incomes can receive free tax preparation services at the district office of Rep. Judy Chu, the congresswoman that represents Baldwin Park.

The program begins this Friday and will continue throughout tax season.

The IRS-run program Volunteer Income Tax Assistance will provide the services, which are available in English, Spanish and Chinese. Taxpayers earning around $50,000 and below are eligible to participate in the program.

Judy Chu's district office is at 4401 Santa Anita Avenue, Suite 201 in El Monte.

Individuals wanting to use the VITA service at Rep. Chu's office must call the district office to make an appointment at 626-448-1271.
