Cactus Fair this Sunday in Baldwin Park

For the third consecutive year, in Baldwin Park will host the Cactus Fair, an event with the objective to promote and educate the community about the medicinal and healing properties of this famous vegetable.

The event will be held this Sunday, August 19, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., in the restaurant's parking lot at 4291 Maine Ave.

This year, the event will also have a presentation about Chia seeds, considered to be a "super food" nutrition-wise, and free health check-ups will also be available.

Artists from Latin America and cultural groups from Mexico, Guatemala and Argentina will provide entertainment.

According to Mark Quan, responsible for the event's marketing, the Queen and King of the event will be popular actors Angelica Vale and Esaí Morales.
