Motorcyclist Killed in Crash with Public Works Vehicle in Covina

A motorcyclist in his 20s was killed in Covina today in a collision with a city public works vehicle, police reported.
County fire department paramedics pronounced the victim dead at the scene of the 2 p.m. crash in the 600 block of East San Bernardino Road, according to Covina police Sgt. Gregg Peterson.
The city employee driving the public works vehicle was not injured.

The victim’s identity was not immediately released, nor was that of the city employee.
The California Highway Patrol was investigating the crash.

East San Bernardino Road was closed between Barranca and Grand avenues and at Prospero Drive following the crash.
