Starting on September 28, Kaiser Permanente and District 32 Congresswoman Judy Chu have organized a collection drive for local victims of domestic violence. The event coincides with Domestic Violence Awareness Month, which takes place in October.
Organizers expect to receive lightly worn garments for women and children, household cleaning products, school supplies and even used cell phones, all of which will be donated to domestic violence survivors in shelters throughout the San Gabriel Valley.
