1 Person Killed In Banning Two-Car Collision: Police

The driver of one car was ejected from the vehicle and suffered life-ending injuries after being, police said.

BANNING, CA — A driver involved in a Ramsey Street traffic collision Monday died at the scene of the crash, authorities said.

Shortly before 4 p.m., officials received a call about a traffic collision in the 5200 block of W. Ramsey Street, according to a statement from the Banning Police Department.

Upon arrival, they located two vehicles "involved in the collision" and two additional parked cars that were damaged, neither of which was occupied.

One person—a driver—was ejected from a vehicle with life-ending injuries. They were pronounced dead at the scene, according to the statement.

The other involved driver, who also received medical attention at the scene, was taken by ambulance to a local hospital and was expected to recover.

The department said details about the collision, including its cause, remained under investigation.
