6 Hospitalized In Whitewater Wreck

WHITEWATER, CA — A total of six people were hospitalized early Sunday evening in a crash in the unincorporated Riverside County community of Whitewater, the fire department reports. Two of those injured suffered serious injuries.

The wreck was reported at 5:01 p.m. Sunday at Painted Hills Road and Highway 62, the Riverside County Fire Department said.

The six were taken to hospitals by ground ambulances, fire officials said. A Mercy Air helicopter was initially requested to take one of the injured, but was canceled a short time later.
