8 Injured In Beaumont Lamb Canyon Road Crash
The chain reaction crash led to a lengthy closure, officials said.

BEAUMONT, CA — Eight people were taken to area hospitals following a multi-vehicle chain reaction crash near Beaumont Thursday, Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department announced.
Shortly before 4 p.m. Thursday, the initial crash was reported in the 16400 block of Lamb Canyon Road and Dump Road, near the Lamb Canyon Landfill.
Responding firefighters found a person who needed extrication and requested additional equipment, according to the department.

A second crash happened behind the original crash, authorities said, leaving a total of eight people injured.
"One person was listed in critical condition, one had moderate injuries, five had minor injuries, and one chose to leave hospital care against medical advice, the department said.

It was unclear how many vehicles were involved in the crash.
