892-Acre 'Lisa' Fire In Badlands 100% Contained
The blaze broke out Sunday afternoon and was fully contained Tuesday morning, according to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department.

MORENO VALLEY, CA — A brush fire that consumed nearly 900 acres east of Moreno Valley was 100% contained Tuesday.
The non-injury "Lisa Fire" was reported just after 1 p.m. Sunday in the area of Alessandro Boulevard and Gilman Springs Road, south of the Moreno Valley (60) Freeway, in rugged terrain known as the Badlands, according to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department.
The agency said multiple engine and hand crews were sent to the brusher, supported by Cal Fire air tankers and water-dropping helicopters, encountering flames burning at a moderate rate, away from the nearest homes.

As of 9 a.m. Tuesday, the blaze was completely contained and mapped at 892 acres, according to the fire department.
Weather conditions were expected to remain favorable throughout the day, enabling crews to finish mopping up.
