
A Banning man was arrested Thursday on suspicion of domestic violence, drugs and firearm offenses, according to Banning police.
About 5:30 p.m. Aug. 22, officers responded to a report of a domestic violence incident in progress in the 300 block of South Hargrave in Banning, police said in a statement. During their investigation police said they discovered drugs packaged for sales, cash and a firearm.
A man identified as Victor Ramos, 56, was taken into custody and booked at Smith Correctional in Banning on felony charges of possessing drugs for sales, possessing a controlled substance while armed with a firearm, and a misdemeanor domestic violence charge, police said.
An unidentified woman was taken into custody on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance. She was also booked at Smith Correctional for the misdemeanor offense, police said.
Seized at the scene were approximately 2.5 ounces of suspected methamphetamine, $1,400 cash, a firearm and ammunition, police said.
Ramos was held Friday on $50,000 bail, according to inmate records.
