Firefighters Saturday evening completed the task of clearing a line of vegetation around a 15-acre wildfire south of Beaumont.
BEAUMONT, CA — Firefighters Saturday evening completed the task of clearing a line of vegetation around a 15-acre wildfire south of Beaumont.
That milestone was reached at 8 p.m., according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
The fire was reported at 1 p.m. burning at a moderate rate in light vegetation east of Lamb Canyon Road and Dump Road, fire officials said.

About 30 minutes later, they reported that the forward spread of the fire had been stopped.
No injuries or evacuations were reported.
