CHP Releases Details In Freeway Crash That Killed 3 Near CSUSB
The tragic incident was reported over the weekend on Interstate 215.

SAN BERNARDINO, CA — Details were released Monday by the California Highway Patrol about a fatal weekend crash on Interstate 215 that left three people dead.
The tragic incident was reported at approximately 11:26 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, on the northbound side of the freeway, south of University Parkway, near California State University, San Bernardino.
According to a preliminary CHP report, three people, described by the CHP as "females," were heading north on I-215 in a Toyota Corolla. The car's driver failed to see a big rig stopped on the freeway's right shoulder and plowed into the back of the truck.

The crash impact sent the Corolla across all freeway lanes, colliding with a northbound Acura MDX. The crash disabled the Corolla in traffic lanes.
A new RAM 3500 truck smashed into the stalled Corolla at an unknown speed, according to the CHP.

All three of the Corolla's occupants were pronounced dead at the scene. Their identities have not yet been released by the coroner's office.
The drivers of the big rig, Acura and RAM sustained minor injuries, the CHP reported.
