UPDATE: Crash on Eastbound 60 at Jackrabbit, Wrecker Crews Called Out

Update 2:10 p.m. Increasing holiday traffic and a motor home out of gas in the Badlands led to a back-up for motorists Wednesday afternoon on the eastbound 60 west of Beaumont, a California Highway Patrol dispatcher said.

Tow truck crews were called out to clear a crash on the eastbound 60 that occurred just after 12 noon Wednesday, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Posted 12:22 p.m. A crash on the eastbound 60 Freeway near Jackrabbit Trail closed at least one lane and traffic was backing up Wednesday afternoon.

The crash was reported at 12:04 p.m. Nov. 27 with a sedan and a pickup involved, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A motorist at the scene said eastbound traffic initially backed up about a mile towards the Badlands.
