Deadly Crash Reported On I-10 In Beaumont
The wreck happened on the freeway offramp at Oak Valley Parkway, according to the CHP.
BEAUMONT, CA — A person has died following a crash in Beaumont on Friday afternoon, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The single-vehicle wreck was reported just after 4:30 p.m. on the Oak Valley Parkway offramp to the eastern side of Interstate 10, according the CHP.
Preliminary reports indicated a gray SUV hit a sign on the offramp, went through a guardrail and crashed into a ditch. Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department officials said "one patient perished at the scene."

The coroner's office was called to the crash around 5:15 p.m.
There were no other reported injuries.

The crash was being investigated by the Beaumont police and the California Highway Patrol.
