Fire Rips Through 2 Rooms Of Hotel In Banning, Extinguished

An early morning blaze damaged a two-story hotel in Banning on Saturday.

BANNING, CA — Two units of a two-story hotel in Banning were damaged by fire Saturday morning.

Firefighters responded at 2:55 a.m. to the 1200 block of West Ramsey Street in Banning and found heavy fire coming from one side of the building, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.

The fire was contained about 3:55 a.m. and crews kept the flames from spreading beyond two units, the department said.
