Harley-Davidson Towing A Trailer Overturns, Killing 1 Rider On I-10
A man and woman on a green Harley-Davidson were hauling a small trailer on the freeway in Desert Hot Springs when the pilot lost control.

DESERT HOT SPRINGS, CA — A 68-year-old woman succumbed to her injuries at a hospital after a motorcycle she was on overturned Thursday on Interstate 10 near Desert Hot Springs.
Officers responded at 11:24 a.m. Thursday to a report of a solo- vehicle crash on westbound Interstate 10 near the Palm Drive exit, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A 63-year-old man and a 68-year-old woman on a green Harley-Davidson motorcycle were hauling a small trailer on the freeway at around 70 miles per hour, CHP Public Information Officer David Torres told City News Service. At some point, the man made an unsafe turn to the left, lost control and overturned into the center divider of the freeway.

Both were ejected from the motorcycle and taken to Desert Regional Medical Center with major injuries, Torres said. The woman succumbed to her injuries at the hospital.
Neither alcohol nor drugs were suspected factors in the crash.
