History of Banning-Idyllwild Road and Lake Fulmor, April 10

The San Gorgonio Pass Historical Society will explore the history of the popular lake and State Route 243 on Thursday, April 10, 7 p.m.

On Thursday, April 10, at 7 p.m., the San Gorgonio Pass Historical Society will present “The History of the Banning-Idyllwild Road and Lake Fulmor,” which will explore the construction of State Route 243 and how and why the Lake Fulmor was created in 1947. Riverside County historian Steve Lech will discuss the panoramic highway and popular fishing and picnicking destination that sits just above the San Gorgonio Pass. Free and open to all.
