House Party Shooting That Left 2 Dead, 1 Wounded In MoVal: Arrest Made

More than a month after the deadly shooting, the sheriff's department arrested an 18-year-old convict who has now been charged with murder.

MORENO VALLEY, CA — A suspect was arrested this week in connection with a Moreno Valley house party shooting last month that left two people dead and one person wounded, the Riverside County Sheriff's Department announced Thursday.

Donte Jeremiah Barlow, 18, of San Jacinto was taken into custody late Monday at W. 4th Street in Perris. He was charged with two counts of murder, one count of attempted murder, and one count of being a convicted felon and narcotic addict with a firearm. He is also facing sentencing enhancements of using a firearm in the commission of a felony, being an active gang member, and causing great bodily injury, according to court records.

Barlow is scheduled to be arraigned Aug. 31 and was being held at Riverside's Robert Presley Detention Center without bail.

The arrest comes after deputies from the Moreno Valley sheriff's station responded to a 12:45 a.m. July 3 report of shots fired at a house party in the 26000 block of Coronada Drive.

Deputies found three people suffering from gunshot wounds — one died at the scene, another died at a hospital, and a third was hospitalized in critical condition. The victims were not publicly identified.
